Apple Pie Bars with a buttery crust, soft spiced apple filling, and a golden crumble topping, perfect for easy summer desserts.

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 cups apples, peeled and sliced

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.

3. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.

4. Press two-thirds of the mixture firmly into the pan to form the base.

5. In another bowl, toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

6. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the base.

7. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the top.

8. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the top is lightly golden.

9. Remove from oven and let cool completely.

10. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

Press the base firmly to prevent crumbling.

Allow bars to cool fully before slicing.
