Ingredients

Scale

1 cup diced strawberries
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 tablespoons orange juice concentrate (non-alcoholic)
10 dessert shells (pre-made shortcake or angel food cake cups)
1 cup whipped cream (store-bought or homemade from heavy cream)
10 small whole strawberries (for garnish)

Instructions

Combine the diced strawberries, powdered sugar, and orange juice concentrate in a mixing bowl
Toss gently until the strawberries are evenly coated
Let macerate for 10 minutes
Select a small glass with a diameter slightly smaller than the dessert shells
Press the glass firmly into each shell to cut a round piece
Place one shell base into the bottom of each serving glass
Spoon the macerated strawberries into the shells
Top with a dollop of whipped cream
Place a small whole strawberry on each for garnish

Notes

Use ripe, fresh strawberries for optimal flavor
For uniform presentation, freeze whole strawberries briefly before cutting if unripe
Store assembled desserts in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours
To enhance flavor, add a pinch of salt to the macerated strawberries
